Barratt Breathwork® Master Facilitator Mentorship
An Apprenticeship in the Spiritual Depth of the Breath
This private mentorship with Kathleen Barratt is not a training in the conventional sense, but an apprenticeship into the deepest expression of Barratt Breathwork®. It is offered to seasoned practitioners who feel called not only to guide the work, but to embody and steward it.
Rooted in advanced meditative practice and refined subtle-energy awareness, this mentorship invites practitioners into the quieter dimensions of the breath — where presence itself becomes the primary guide, and stillness opens into spiritual unfolding.
A distinctive aspect of this work is the integration of bioenergy, a form of pranic healing informed by Qigong traditions. Practitioners learn to sense and support subtle energetic movement within a session, allowing the breath and the field of awareness to deepen together. In this way, facilitation matures from method into transmission — a shared movement toward silence, insight, and inner alignment.
Through one-to-one mentorship, guided practicum, and advanced contemplative practices, practitioners refine their capacity to hold space from inner stillness and to serve as clear vessels for the deeper currents of the work.
Because this mentorship unfolds through discernment and readiness, the first step is a personal conversation.
Mentorship Structure
The Master Facilitator Mentorship unfolds as a private, one-to-one apprenticeship with Kathleen Barratt. This personalized format allows for deep guidance, direct supervision, and ongoing refinement of both personal practice and facilitation.
Participants engage through a combination of private mentorship sessions, advanced contemplative practice, and a guided practicum that supports the integration of the work into lived facilitation.
A mentored practicum forms the heart of the program. Through observed sessions, case study reflection, and individualized feedback, practitioners refine their capacity to guide from stillness while learning to work skillfully with the subtle dynamics of breath, prana, and presence.
An accompanying online platform provides teaching recordings, guided practices, and study materials that support ongoing integration and reflection. These resources are not intended as curriculum to complete, but as companions to the unfolding of the work within the practitioner.
Together, these elements create a container for deep maturation — supporting the practitioner not only in professional skill, but in the embodiment of the work itself.
The Work of the Mentorship
Within this mentorship, practitioners engage with the deeper dimensions of Barratt Breathwork® as a living spiritual practice. Areas of focus include:
Orienting the Breath as a Spiritual Gateway
Learning to hold sessions in a way that invites stillness, remembrance, and deeper connection rather than striving for outcomes.
Mapping the Inner Terrain of Consciousness
Exploring the stages of meditative unfolding and how they shape both personal transformation and facilitation.
Refining Facilitation of the Innate Breath
Deepening attunement to subtle shifts in breath and awareness, allowing sessions to be guided from within rather than structured from without.
Bioenergy as Meditative Support
Learning to sense and support subtle energetic movement within a session, drawing from Qigong-informed principles to foster coherence, receptivity, and meditative depth.
Facilitating from the Still Point
Strengthening the capacity to hold space from inner stillness, allowing the intelligence of the breath to reveal itself organically.
Cultivating Subtle Perception
Practices that support inner vision, energetic sensitivity, and responsiveness to the finer movements of breath and awareness.
Advanced Meditative Integration
Integrating Eastern contemplative practices into facilitation to support deeper states of presence, insight, and spiritual unfolding.
Commitments of the Mentorship
Completion of the Master Facilitator Mentorship reflects not only skill, but depth of practice and integration. Participants are asked to engage the following as part of their apprenticeship:
Mentored Practicum
Completion of 30 documented one-on-one Barratt Breathwork® sessions that demonstrate refined facilitation and the integration of subtle-energy awareness.
Meditative Practice
At least 25 hours of dedicated practice in assigned contemplative and subtle-perception techniques that support inner stillness and clarity of guidance.
Independent Study Project
A mentored project that reflects the practitioner’s integration of the work, shaped in dialogue with Kathleen and grounded in lived experience.
Assigned Readings
Engagement with selected texts that deepen the philosophical and meditative foundations of Barratt Breathwork®.
Final Certification
Upon completion of these elements and the practicum review process, practitioners may be recognized as Barratt Breathwork® Master Facilitators.
Culmination and Recognition
The mentorship concludes with a process of reflection and evaluation that honors the practitioner’s readiness to carry the work forward.
Participants submit recorded facilitation sessions that demonstrate their capacity to guide from presence, attunement, and subtle discernment. These sessions, together with live observation and dialogue with Kathleen, form the basis of the final evaluation.
Rather than a standardized test, this process is shaped to the individual practitioner and the unique arc of their apprenticeship. Through case review, observed facilitation, and reflective exchange, readiness is assessed not only in skill, but in depth of presence and alignment with the spirit of the work.
Practitioners who complete this process are recognized as Barratt Breathwork® Master Facilitators and may carry this designation in their professional work.
